Are Secret Service Agents allowed to vote in the 2008 election?

Posted by admin on October 12, 2008

Are they allowed to have a political opinion? With America so divided?

Do you think a republican secret service agent would take a bullet for Obama or let him die?

Likewise would a Democratic secret service agent take a bullet for McCain if he was President?

Yes, but secretly.

I don't see why they should not have that right.
It doesn't alter their performance. They still have a job to do regardless.

Are you seriously asking this question? Of course they are allowed to vote. A Secret Service Agent is paid to protect the life of Presidents and former Presidents. I seriously doubt they are going to let them die. Your question is absolutely ridiculous.

Secret Service Agents are allowed to vote and have opinions, but they are well trained, very professional and well paid. Yes, they would take a bullet for a president they didn’t vote for.

They are citizens. They have a right to vote.

And their job requires them to protect and serve whomever they are assigned to, regardless of political preference.

Yes, they are citizens. They can vote.

As for your second question, that’s like asking if a police officer would think twice about protecting a citizen if he disagreed with his politics.

Secret Service Agents are devoted professionals, like soldiers, ready to give the last full measure that they have to do their job. For you to call into question their dedication over something as petty as politics is disrespectful.

Votes are according to Citizenship not job description.
Every US citizen have the right to vote, except, criminals that has been convicted of illegal use/trafficking of drugs
