I know I can be told a secret but how does one form a secret. I do not think ever in my life, I've had a secret. Do "crushes" count?
Just think of a personal thing about yourself that you would never, ever tell anyone, and there you have a secret.

A secret is something no one knows about you or something you've done. For example, you could hide a pencil under your bed, and this would be a secret, because no one but you knows that it is there.

Crushes do count as a secret. But if you want it to. And secrets are something you dont want some people to know. But some people can know. And the people dont know you can say that its a secret. Or no one has to know.

A secret is something that is very private that has happened to you in your life and you don't want anyone else to know but maybe your best friend. I think crushes definitely count…just remember some secrets can be really hurtful and can tear friendships apart. So, be careful.

A secret is tied to the perspective of a person or group of persons. All secrets are not secret to one or more persons.
So basically a secret is only a secret to those that don't know it. Like your crush. Good luck!
