I recommend that you mention it in passing after she’s gotten to know you for a few weeks.
This way she already has gotten to know you, and will have a stronger positive bias for you, making things easier for you if, by chance, she has already heard of the game and doesn’t like it.

If you tell her right off the bat, and you mention it like you are confessing some sort of crime, she may think you’re a little weird, even if she’s never heard of the game before.

You can have a good social life and play WoW at the same time. Though you may need to make tiny sacrifices in both (compromise) to make it work right.

this is what you say.
do you play video games.
if she says yes, you say" ok what are you intrested in"? and you take it from there.

if she says no, say"ok I just want to say I play video games somtimes".

now obviously she'd want to talk to you about stuff, but if she says no and you say what I told you to, that's it. Say nothing else and talk about other things. No offence but girls don't want to know about your level 74 orc warrior(I don't have wow just an excample). But for some reason if she wants to know what you play just tell her, violence games. If she asks what kind of violence games, say wow I guess but DO NOT GO INTO THAT TRUST ME!!! Unless she plays it too.

Because now my girlfriend and I play video games whenever we see each other, my gf lives in a different town than me so I only see her so often(once or twice a year, so it kinda sucks).

Yes, definately, she must accept you for who you are and nothing else. Lying or hiding things about yourself are two of the worst things you can do in a relationship bud. Plus you will know if she really likes you for who you are. ^_^

Get her interested in the game and play it with her. Back when my addiction to computers began in the early 1990's, my boyfriend decided that if he couldn't beat it he'd join it. We've been together 16 years.

Man, WoW is just a video game. Should you have to tell her that you also play Fable 2 on Xbox? Fallout 3? No. Let her find out on her own, if you flat come out and tell her you play WoW, it'll probably hint that you have an addiction or something.

my bf plays and i don't care as long as he's not on it 24/7 and we have time to hang out, and lots of my friends date guys who play and they don't care that they do. Some girls don't mind.

Get her to play with you! My best friend bought it for me for Christmas a few years ago and it's awesome. When we don't get a chance to hang out, we raid and whatever together =) I have three IRL friends and my bf all on the same server <3
